eLearing Innovation Award 

• How to determine the suitable track in the Award?
  • The excellence track targets the learning & training  institutions licensed by NeLC.
  • The innovation track targets all K-12, HE and training (government and private) institutions and tech. companies.
  • The impact track targets institutions activating eLearning.

• Can I modify my application after submission?

         Modification allowed during the application period.

• Can I apply for more than one track?

          Yes, you can submit an application for one program\track or more at the same time.

• How are the Innovation Awards winners announced?

An email will be sent to the winners to attend the Award Ceremony.

 

The Excellence Track 

• What is the targeted group for the Excellence Track?

      The learning & training  institutions licensed by NeLC.

• What is the number of the programs required to apply for the Excellence Track?

         It is not required that there be a specific number of licensed programs in order for the institution to be eligible to be nominated for the Award. The institution can apply with one or more programs.

• What are the requirements for applying for the Excellence Track?

           The institution shall have eLearning programs licensed by NeLC .

• What are the basic criteria to apply for the Excellence Award?

Criteria for Excellence in Online Learning

• What are the conditions that must be met in the program that qualifies me to win the Excellence Award?

        The institution shall obtain a license from the NeLC for one or more eLearning programs.

• What are the benefits of winning the Excellence Award?
  • The Excellence Award-Innovation Track plaque presented in the Award ceremony. 
  • A certificate of appreciation. 
  • Using the Award logo on all the winner institution’s publications and websites for 3 years.
  • Display the institution’s logo and program on the NeLC accounts. 

The Innovation Track

• What is the targeted group for the Innovation Track?

        All government, private and not-profit institutions. 

• What are the conditions\practice\technology requirements to apply for the Innovation Track?
• • The practice or technology has been used before and its effectiveness is proven. 
  • The practice or technology shall mainly serve the eLearning field. 

• What are the basic criteria to apply for the Innovation Track?
  • The effectiveness of innovation in improving the quality of eLearning.
  • The effectiveness of innovation in enhancing the efficiency of the organization (operation and spending).
  • The alignment of the results with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in human capability development such as closing the skills gap and improving the education indicators. 
• What are the benefits of winning the Innovation Award?
  • The Innovation Award - Innovation Track  plaque presented in the Award ceremony. 
  • A certificate of appreciation. 
  • Using the Award logo on all the winner institution’s publications and websites for 3 years.
  • Display the institution’s logo and program on the NeLC accounts. 
  • Support the technology or practice by facilitating the learning and training institutions access to and exploring more about them and considering the winner a service provider if the innovation is in technological one.

The Impact Track

• What is the targeted group for the Impact Track?

           Institutions activating eLearning.

• What are the conditions\ requirements to apply for the Impact Track?

           The institution has an account on the National eLearning Platform “FutureX”\ Open Educational Resources Platform “OERx”.

• What are the basic criteria to apply for the Impact Track?
  • The institution shall be active on the two platforms and contribute to them.
  • FutureX: Number of learners, the percentage of course completion and issued certificates. 
  • OERx: Number of the institution’s OERs, the percentage of interaction in these OERs.

• Can I submit a request to create an account on FutureX or OERx while applying for the Impact Track?

             Yes, and the institution shall consider the Award’s condition. For more info. Please contact: care@nelc.gov.sa

  • The Innovation Award - Impact Track plaque presented in the Award ceremony. 
  • A certificate of appreciation. 
  • Using the Award logo on all the winner institution’s publications and websites for 3 years.
